We recently stayed at Ataraxia Villa and had an incredible 4-night experience. the location was perfect, allowing easy access to all the major islands and water taxis, while still being secluded enough to fully immerse ourselves in the lush jungle surroundings. the staff at the villa were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with organizing taxis, tours, and giving great recommendations. the breakfast at the villa was delicious, and the restaurant had a great ambiance. We especially loved the yoga space off the restaurant, where we could practice with a breathtaking view. the spacious room, large patio, cool nights with the fan, and reliable wifi made our stay truly unforgettable. Cons: Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 😊.

The room was just perfect for me! The fully equipped private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries made me feel right at home. The tile/marble floor gave it a nice touch, and the seating area with a view was simply amazing. Being able to prepare my own meals in the kitchen was a bonus!
The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the sofa in the bungalow. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

I couldn't believe the value for money at Ataraxia in Bastimentos! The room upgrade to a brand new bungalow was amazing, so spacious and with a breathtaking view of the sea and jungle. The location was perfect, nestled in the middle of the jungle but still close enough to the nature reserve and Wizard beach. The staff were incredibly friendly, always there to help and make our stay memorable.
The morning meal could be improved by offering a few more options or a buffet-style breakfast. Having a choice between sweet and savory breakfasts would have been great, as we prefer something more substantial to kickstart our day.

At this adults-only retreat, enjoy the peaceful and serene location amidst the wonders of nature. the rooms are clean and spacious, ensuring a comfortable stay. Take advantage of the free paddle boards, kayak, and snorkeling gear for endless beach adventures. the hosts, Manon and Pierre, are friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations and organizing trips. indulge in the delicious breakfast and dinner options, with varied menus to cater to different tastes. the staff is always available and willing to assist, ensuring a memorable experience.
One tour offered by a third party was not environmentally friendly, which lessened the overall ecological appeal.

The dinners were super tasty, and they catered to dietary restrictions. Free snorkeling and kayaking equipment added to the awesomeness. The clean rooms and helpful staff made our stay unforgettable. We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the ocean on one side and lush greenery on the other. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting us with tours and arranging taxis. The chef at the hotel prepared some of the best food we had during our entire trip. Our little bungalow nestled in the trees provided a unique and cozy experience. We even had the opportunity to spot a sloth or two during our stay.
Can't fault anything about it.

The staff were nice and friendly, always welcoming and helpful. the food served at the communal dining area was quite tasty, especially the breakfast. the location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to the city and the beach. It was only a short boat ride away from both.
The rooms were extremely disappointing. They were hot and stuffy, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep.

I recently had an incredible stay at Ataraxia in Bocas. Pierre & Manou, the hosts, were incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending activities and arranging everything we needed. The property is located in a secluded garden with access to the sea, offering kayaks and snorkeling equipment for guests to use. The spacious and comfortable rooms have all the amenities you need, including a ceiling fan, mosquito net, and hot water. The full kitchen area was a great bonus. The highlight was the delicious food served in the treetop terrace restaurant. I highly recommend staying at Ataraxia for a relaxing and adventurous Bocas experience.
